Our Staff
Our staff is selected carefully. We offer a probationary period. All staff have experience, background clearances as required by state, health assessments, reviews. Teachers have educational degrees that meet state requirements, as well as above listed requirements. The owners have a vast and extensive educational background, as well as professional and personal experience with children. All staff are CPR and first aid certified. Mrs. Gable is the mother of six children ranging in age from 3 years through age 25, stepmother of two boys, and a grandma of one. With degrees in Psychology and Education, Mrs. Gable has worked with children and adults in various mental health settings. She has performed as adjunct faculty at Community College of Allegheny County, as well as conducting testing and evaluations for children's wraparound services as a psychological consultant. With experience in child development, education, and psychology, as well as motherhood, she is a perfect fit as our temporary director.

Miss Edwards is a Communications Disorders Major in her senior year of college. She will be on staff during breaks, and during the summer. She has years of experience with little ones, and is a fun, creative, and adorable addition to our family! Upon graduation this December, Carrington will step into the role of Director and Lead Preschool Teacher, while pursuing her Master's Degree.
Domenica (Mena) Plants, Assistant Group Supervisor (FT)
Domenica is a fun, spunky, creative young lady with lots of great ideas and a wonderfully positive attitude. "Miss Mena," as we call her, is very organized, efficient, and approachable. Mena also assists with preschool, as she is bright, intelligent, and has many great ideas, information, is crafty, and has such a way with kids! She was one of our first family members here at Country Mama's and is a perfect fit in our family. Your children will love her!

Miss Michelle is not only very gentle and loving, and one of our kid favorites, she is also Miss Mena's mother. She shows a genuine love and care for our kids and is very motivated and experienced.

Miss Kelly is our newest family member and brings to Country Mama's a wealth of childcare experience. She has quickly been accepted and is very good with the kids. She specializes in infants and toddlers, and is also a seasoned mom of teenagers.
